Natalie Wood Unfolds
My tribute to the beautiful and talented Natalie Wood. This is the first of two tributes, a shorter one is coming up later this week :). In reverse order: The Great Race (1965), Sex and the Single Girl (1964…I start with this first since her yellow dress walking scene seems a perfect entry), Gypsy (1964), West Side Story (1961), Splendor in the Grass (1961), The Searchers (1961), Rebel Without a Cause (1955), The Silver Chalice (1954), The Star (1952), The Ghost and Mrs Muir (1947), Miracle on 34th Street (1947), Tomorrow is Forever (1946). As a child star, she appeared with the likes of Orson Welles, Gene Tierney, James Dean, Claudette Colbert, Bette Davis, Maureen O’Hara, John Wayne, etc. Her whole life ran in the public eye much like the Truman Show (1998 film with Jim Carrey). The haunting music from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, music by Alexandre Desplat. This video is obviously inspired by that movie. I thank my good friend Claudia for taking time to make some clips.
